[Turkey] Bacon, Onion, and Cheddar Frittata

This easy low carb frittata is a quick and protein packed dish! Enjoy with non starchy sides and on-plan carbs for a delicious Trim Healthy Mama S meal.


  • 3 (or more) strips thick turkey bacon, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 12 eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon Trim Bouillon Mix (from the first THM Cookbook) OR nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon Bragg's Liquid Aminos
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon mineral salt
  • 1 oz shredded extra sharp cheddar (or more if desired)
  • 1 Tablespoon butter


  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. In a cast iron or oven safe skillet, cook the turkey bacon until it begins to brown
  3. Add onion and cook for several minutes until it's soft
  4. While bacon is cooking: in a mixing bowl, combine water and Trim Boullion Mix and whisk well
  5. Add eggs and remaining seasonings and whisk until frothy
  6. Add butter to skillet and allow to melt, making sure it coats the bottom of the skillet evenly
  7. Slowly pour in egg mixture
  8. Allow to cook on the stove top until the edges start to firm
  9. Top with cheddar cheese, then transfer to preheated oven and bake 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked through.
